Finding the Debtor (Defendant):
The Judgment Team uses both advanced non-public databases and old-fashioned investigative work to locate your debtor's home, bank accounts, property, employer and any other assets, even if they're in another state.
Seizing the Debtor's Assets:
Once we locate the debtor's asset, The Judgment Team files all the appropriate paperwork with the court to recover the full amount of the unpaid judgment. Depending on state laws, we may garnish their wages, attach bank accounts, and seize their assets. If necessary, we also make all court appearances to complete the collection.
No Risk to You:
The Judgment Team does NOT charge application fees or other up-front costs. Since we pay all collection expenses and do all the work, you don't need to invest any of your own time or money. We make our money and pay you a percentage of the judgment when we collect it from the debtor.

Why doesn't the court collect my judgment?
The court system only awards the judgment, but leaves you on your own to collect it. The court personnel are not even able to advise you on your options. The result is that most judgment holders just give up trying to collect their money.
How does the The Judgment Team collect the judgment?
As the plaintiff, you must sign an agreement with The Judgment Team that permits us to legally investigate the debtor (defendant) and seize their assets. This agreement simply assigns the judgment to us and details how you will be paid.
Why must I assign my judgment to you?
State laws require that we file an assignment agreement with the court before we have the legal right to investigate a debtor. Once we are a "party" to the judgment amount, we may investigate the debtor and seize specific assets to enforce the judgment.
Can I get paid even if the debtor has filed bankruptcy?
Contact The Judgment Team immediately, and we can quickly investigate the status of the bankruptcy case at no cost to you.
Do I need an attorney to collect my judgment?
An attorney is not required to collect certain judgments. If you do use an attorney, you will typically need to pay a retainer plus $150 to $250 per hour regardless of how much they collect. Many attorneys are not effective at researching, tracking and collecting judgments for their clients. They will simply go and hire a company like the Judgment Team that specialized in judgment recovery.
Can I use a collection agency?
Collection agencies mail the debtor threatening letters or frequently phone the debtor to harass them into paying. In most cases, the collection agency never collects any money. Credit agencies are also restricted by FDCPA (Fair Debt Collection Practices Act), which allows the debtor to simply tell the collection agency to stop any contact. As a party to the judgment, our research and investigation team can locate and seize the debtor's assets without ever contacting them.
Do I have to make contact with the debtor or go to court?
No, The Judgment Team handles all communications with your debtor and all post-judgment court filings and appearances.
Are there any costs to collect the judgment?
You will NOT pay anything until we collect money from your judgment. The Judgment Team will pay all collection expenses, such as investigation costs, court fees, sheriff’s fees and credit reports. If possible, we add these costs to the judgment amount, or we deduct these costs from the amount recovered.
How long does it take to collect money?
This varies depending on how difficult it is to locate the debtor and seize their assets. At the minimum, it will take 2-3 months, but it may take several years. A judgment is usually good for 10 years or more. In some cases, we must simply wait for the debtor to accumulate any assets in order to satisfy the judgment.
Do you guarantee collection?
Since some debtor's simply have no assets, we cannot guarantee that we will satisfy your judgment. Since we don't get paid until we collect, you are assured that we will use every method possible to locate assets.
